Description:Saint Therese of New Hope a senior living facility has an opening for a household coordinator to join our team!

The Household coordinator is the Managing staff member of one hallway of the neighborhood. They have 24 hour responsibility of managing the Caregivers, Homemakers, and HUC working in the household creating a sense of home and strengthening community. The Household Coordinator coordinates the efforts of all support staff including Therapeutic Recreation, Dining Services and Pastoral Care to ensure that all are focused on quality resident care, incorporating PersonFirst Values. Also responsible for providing customer service to families and staff. Guides staff in compliance with government regulations.

Duties:All household staff are members of a self-directed, cross trained work team assigned to a household of 23-25 residents or a community of residents on a permanent basis. Their purpose is to plan and coordinate resident care creating a HOME and strengthening COMMUNITY while incorporating person-first values to establish a sense of belonging, usefulness, and purpose.

All staff are trained in housekeeping, laundry, dietary, social and activity services that directly affect the residentís environment. In addition, non-licensed staff are trained in safe resident transfers and some personal care. Services are provided for adult and geriatric residents in accordance with federal and state standards and regulations that govern Saint Therese.
Qualifications:Education:
Bachelor's Degree is preferred - ideal field of study would be Social Work, Health Care Administration, COTA, CTRS. Successful completion of nursing assistant training program is required. If not a Certified Nursing Assistant - must be willing to be trained on site at Saint Therese.

Experience:
Must have skills to manage and supervise.
Must demonstrate leadership skills.
Care center experience preferred.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Working knowledge of personal computers and related software.
Effective time management/prioritization and problem solving skills.
