Description:Saint Therese is excited to announce the opening of our new Woodbury campus in early 2016! Saint Therese is a multi-campus, non-profit, faith-based health care organization. Our new Woodbury campus will provide senior care services for 102 independent living, 38 assisted living and 20 memory care apartments. The Care Center offers 56 care suites including skilled care, transitional care and a full rehabilitation center. Saint Therese offers competitive compensation and benefits.
Duties:The Human Resource Generalist will provide day to day developmental and administrative human resource support and employee relation services for assigned areas (to interpret and administer human resource policies and procedures in a fair, equitable and efficient manner). Will also provide oversight and coordination in the areas of administrative human resource systems and employee relation services campus wide as well as key assigned functional areas. Will conduct onboarding sessions for new employees for assigned areas. Will ensure that Human Resource policies, benefits and other relevant information are clearly and fully explained. Will ensure that all new hire paperwork is properly completed and submitted for payroll or H.R. processing in a timely manner. Will ensure Company compliance with existing legal employment requirements both individually and through communication and training of department and location managers. Manages campus Work Comp, Loss Control, and Safety programs with the guidance of the Executive Director of Human Resources. Will work closely with managers and supervisors to address and resolve employee relation concerns in a timely, consistent, and responsive manner. Will assist management in resolving employee complaints and grievances and assist with steps of constructive discipline and disciplinary issues. Must be an active member of the Safety Committee along with other company committees.
Qualifications:•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, in addition to 5+ years HR Generalist experience. •Experience in non-profit or health care related field a plus •Proficient and knowledgeable in multiple human resource disciplines including compensation and benefits practices, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, federal and state employment laws, training and development •Strong communication skills, including listening, writing, presenting, facilitating, coaching and leading. •Labor Relations experience a plus •Ability to work as part of a team and to work effectively with all departments and senior management. •Excellent MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. •Able to demonstrate the ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities. •Experience in interpreting and applying department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations. •Working knowledge of Federal, State and Local rules and regulations. •Effective time management, prioritization and problem solving skills.
